In Tibetan, TashiTakgye means “eight lucky signs” – the most Auspicious and Spiritual symbols in the Region of Himalayan. It is also known in Sanskrit as ‘Ashtamangala’. It is said that whoever possesses the Blessings bestowed by the Eight Goddesses who hold these Eight Auspicious Objects – he or she will be blessed with Long Life, Good Health, Prosperity, Fame, Happiness, Joy and other worldly and supra-mundane qualities. TashiTakgye Tours & Treks
was founded by me (TsheringLhamu) and my brother ThuptenTsering. We are Himalayan Tibetans who had wonderful and inspiring life experiences in a beautiful Valley in Sikkim and beautiful Himalayas of Darjeeling. one of the most natural regions that have breath-taking views and spectacular scenery.
I had done my studies on Tourism at one of the most renowned Academy. As a person who started my service career in hotel industry, I also equipped myself with Rich and Fulfilling experiences by working with a few prestigious hotels e.g
Surya and Radission in Delhi.Since I love travelling, organising events and sharing my experiences with others, I‘ve started to delve myself into the fascinating world of Tours and Travel. I have worked with various reputed travel companies like Indo German, Liza world and Potala Tours etc. Till 2007. In August 2007, I decided to start this new company and registered under Delhi (NCT), Registration no. 2369.Takgye was then formed; and since then, I have been dedicating my whole heart and all my accumulated experiences and skills into TashiTakgye Tours & Treks. Since then, ThuptenTsering decided to make his career as a Trekking Tour Guide. He enjoys guiding groups and personals in exploring unknown and exciting territories in Himalayas. Every year, he leads more than a dozen of groups to various tourist spots in this beautiful place.
