Itinerary Code ( HDT – I )
Day 1 :
Arrive Delhi :-
Arrival assistance and transfer to hotel. Overnight Delhi.
Day 2 :
Delhi/Dharamsala :-
After breakfast proceed for half day city tour of Delhi. Evening transfer to train station to board Jammu mail leaving at 2110hrs. Overnight train.
Day 3 :
Arrive Dharamsala :-
Receive at Pathankot station and transfer to Dharamsala.Checkinto hotel. After a brief rest, visit Tsuglakhang (Central Cathedral) and its neighborhood on foot. Overnight Dharamsala.
Day 4 :
Dharamsala :-
After breakfast, a short trek through surrounding jungle touching at Tushita Retreat Centre, Vipassna Meditation, Dharamkot village towards Truind. Need to bring water and packed lunch. A pair of comfortable shoes is recommended to walk in. Overnight Dharamsala.
Day 5 :
Dharamsala :-
After breakfast, short walk to Bhagsu village. Visit Shiva temple and waterfall. After lunch walk to Tibetan Reception Centre. You can meet with newly arrived Tibetans from Tibet and listen to their stories. Overnight Dharamsala.
Day 6 :
Dharamsala :-
Day excursion to Bir. After breakfast drive to Bir and visit monasteries in Bir, Tashijong and Sherabling. Visit Chamunda Devi temple enroute. Evening back to Dharamsala. Overnight Dharamsala.
Day 7 :
Dharamsala :-
After breakfast, drive to Norbulingkha Institute for a peek at Thanka painting, Tibetan tailoring, wood curbing, metal works, doll museum among others. Thereafter visit Dromaling Nunnery and at Gyuto Monastery to seek the Gyalwa Karmapa’s audience. After lunch, visit the Library of Tibetan works and Archives, Nechung (State Oracle) Monastery, Central Tibetan Administration, Tibetan Medical and Astro Institute. Overnight Dharamsala.
Day 8 :
Dharamsala :-
Morning visit Tibetan Children’s village school, Handicraft-cum-vocational Centre, St.John’s Church in wilderness. Afternoon Free for shopping around. Overnight Dharamsala.
Day 9 :
Dharamsala/Delhi :-
Morning free for self activities. Afternoon departure transfer to Pathankot station to board Jammu mail departing at 1840hrs. Overnight train.
Day 10 :
Arrive/Delhi :-
Arrival assistance from station and transfer to hotel. Morning rest and afternoon proceed for half day sightseeing of QutabMinar, Lotus temple, India Gate, Parliament house and other sights. Overnight Delhi.
Day 11 :
Depart Delhi: –
Morning free for shopping and self activities. Evening transfer to International airport to catch return flight. (Hotel checkout 12 Noon)
